Spring Sewing: Pyjama/Lounge Pants (October 20 and November 10)

Want to make the perfect pair of lounge/pyjama pants for yourself or a family member? This is the class for you! 

You will learn: How to make a simple lounge pants pattern, create a hem cuff and add an elastic waist.

This class is suitable for all ages, with a maximum of four students. Class will only run with a minimum of two students. 

AVAILABLE DATES

9 am - 1.30 pm      Saturday October 20 

9 am - 1.30 pm.      Saturday November 10

Prerequisites: This is a confident beginner class. If you have never touched a machine before I generally recommend starting with the Coaster class. 

What to bring: Bring along a separate pair of pants to use as the base for a pattern - these will not be cut up! 

Fabric required: Fabric must be equal to twice the length of your pants plus an extra 30 cm.  You will also need 30 cm of contrast fabric for cuffs and pocket. 

Upcycled fabric can be used! Waist elastic will be provided.

Craft cotton fabric and flannelette are great for this project and I recommend washing in cold water beforehand to avoid shrinkage. This project is also a great way to upcycle doona covers and sheets! 

If you have a sewing machine that you would like to learn on, please bring it along. Otherwise you are welcome to use one of my collection of vintage machines.

Your class will be held in person at my workshop studio, 84b Charles St, Seddon. 

Bring along a water bottle and a snack for a mid morning break.
